Project details

Excited to be a Teaching & Education volunteer in Tanzania? Fair Share Foundation's TGIP program is a great way for volunteers to assist in community-based projects in Morogoro Region where many communities rely on support. Volunteers gain teaching experience while helping schools which are often lacking adequate funds and resources to provide the kind of high quality education which helps children grow and learn.

What to expect and how you'll make an impact

As a Teaching & Education volunteer you will assist in projects that are often underfunded, under-resourced and in need of extra help. Volunteers provide valuable support by:

  • Teaching support in primary and secondary schools
  • Life skills training for youth
  • Tutoring, literacy, and digital literacy programs
  • Early childhood education support
  • English language teaching
  • Assisting with classroom activities

Location

The TGIP volunteer program is based in Morogoro Region, a scenic area at the base of the Uluguru Mountains. It's known for its welcoming communities, vibrant local culture, and proximity to Mikumi National Park.

Despite its many attractions, communities in many parts of Morogoro still lack access to quality education and childcare. Volunteer projects based in rural and urban areas help to provide better access to these essential services.
